School of Political – NextGen Sri Lanka

The Political School is the political education arm of NextGenSL, supported by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Sri Lanka. It seeks to promote inclusive politics by bringing together young activists from diverse backgrounds and encouraging them to use collaborative and activity-based learning tools to explore politics.

Objectives

To create a politically empowered citizen by imparting knowledge through interactive and collaborative tools
To foster a culture of inclusive politics in Sri Lanka
To broaden the horizons of political studies and to build strong support networks among youth in politics
To promote Liberal values

PARTNERS

The association of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom with Sri Lanka is nearly five decades old. During the period 1968 to 2013, and upon recommencing its work in 2016 the Foundation’s work focuses primarily on the core values of freedom and responsibility. The Foundation’s contribution to Sri Lanka’s political, socio-economic development over the years is well accepted, recognized and appreciated by legislators, opinion leaders, academics, and civil society actors.
